Tank Storage Division

At our tank storage division, not only do we provide products—we craft customized solutions that meet your exact needs. Whether it’s reducing emissions or improving tank safety, our domes, floating roofs, and seals are engineered to protect your investments and help you operate at peak efficiency.

Aluminium dome roofs

Aluminium dome roofs, these self-supporting geodesic structures are known for their lightweight yet durable construction.

They provide an aesthetically pleasing and weather-resistant solution for covering large spans such as storage tanks and industrial facilities, among others.

  • Corrosion Resistance
  • Low Lifetime Maintenance Cost
  • Clear-Span Capability
  • Fast and Low-Cost Construction
  • Design Flexibility

Aluminium internal floating roofs

Aluminium Internal Floating Roofs (IFRs) are designed for reducing environmental impact of the liquid storage industry.

These light-weight aluminium structures float on top of the hydrocarbons or chemicals stored inside storage tanks, with the objective to reduce Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emissions by saturating vapour and preventing new vapour to form inside the storage tank.

We provide two different types of Aluminium Internal Floating Roofs (IFRS):

  • Full Contact Internal Floating Roof (IFR)
  • Pontoon type Internal Floating Roof (IFR)

Tanks Seals for floating roofs

We provide an extensive selection of tank seals which are meticulously designed to cater to both external floating roofs and internal floating roofs, offering a diverse array of options and qualities to choose from.

Drain system for storage tanks

Especially in climates with high rainfall water can accumulate on the external floating roof of atmospheric storage tanks. Adequate draining of this rainwater is a very important aspect of safe and reliable operation of storage tanks with external floating roofs.

We offer two main types of drain systems for storage tanks:

  • Pivot Drain system
  • Drain Hose system

Floating Suction Lines

When withdrawing a product from storage tanks the quality of the product withdrawn is a major concern. Quite often the bottom part of the product stored in the tank will be seriously contaminated, either with water (rainwater) or sludge (tank corrosion and other pollutants). To avoid withdrawing contaminated product from storage tanks floating suction lines are the ideal approach. Installations with special suction arrangements for storage tanks are also known from slops tanks, where oil skimmers are used to withdraw the top part of the liquid column, usually being the lighter hydrocarbon parts. Floating suction lines and skimmer arrangements can be fitted in conventional fixed roof storage tanks, external floating roof tanks and internal floating roof tanks.

Prefabricated Storage Tanks

Coteso offers comprehensive engineering services and pre-fabrication solutions for storage tanks, tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. With more than 30 years of accumulated experience, we provide end-to-end support, from initial design to final assembly, ensuring that our storage solutions are efficient, reliable, and compliant with industry standards.

We offer two main types of prefabricated storage tanks:

  • Vertical aboveground storage tanks
  • Bolted storage tanks
